I always try to make it downtown to Temple Square in the spring. The flowers are so amazing! Yesterday was the perfect day to go because the weather was so beautiful. Taylor and I met Greg at his office and we drove over to the temple from there. Taylor ran ahead of us most of the evening because she was so excited to see the next patch of flowers. Her favorites were the HUGE tulips and the poppies. (in the picture directly above) Her mom loved the peach daffodils, and the purple and yellow pansies. There are several types of plants that were so fragrant, I just wanted to lay on the grass and inhale them all night!
Taylor chased a couple quail who stayed just far enough ahead of her so she couldn't catch them. (The images are at the very top of this post.) We talked a little about what happens in the temple, and Taylor decided that she needs to go inside NOW because she's "already bigger!" When we discussed the statues that are throughout the garden. Taylor was adamant that John the Baptist was, in fact, Jesus, but she agreed when we indicated Joseph Smith. We ended our evening with dinner at the Blue Plate where I had the best Reuben of my life! Yum!

Swimming
Here's a clip of Taylor swimming at the Crystal Inn. Greg took her to the pool while I was at Mutual. If I had been there I would have made her wait until I was in the water to catch her. She loves it, as you can see. I'm calling today to find out about swim lessons!

Marissa
There is a Mia Maid in my Young Women class named Marissa. Every Tuesday night, like clockwork, she calls me an hour before mutual to ask what we're doing for the activity that night. (I will add that she comes to church every Sunday, and appears to be listening when the activity is announced.) If I can't answer the phone, she hangs up when the answering machine comes on. Then she tries my cell phone. Again, she doesn't leave a voice mail. If she still hasn't reached me, she repeats the home phone then cell phone pattern every ten minutes until I can answer. I have complained about this to Greg, and now, when the phone rings at 6 o'clock on Tuesday he calls out "It's Marissa!" without checking the caller-id. Last night, the phone rang at about that time, and Taylor grabbed the phone and handed it to me. She grinned at me and said, "It's Arissa!"

I could've been a "Stylist to the Stars"
On Sunday I decided to try something new on Taylor's hair. This look was inspired by her little buddy Isabel who is in Nursery with her. (Isabel just happens to be black) I think Taylor wears it well even if she is as white as her mommy. What do you think?
