Temple Square

I always try to make it downtown to Temple Square in the spring. The flowers are so amazing! Yesterday was the perfect day to go because the weather was so beautiful. Taylor and I met Greg at his office and we drove over to the temple from there. Taylor ran ahead of us most of the evening because she was so excited to see the next patch of flowers. Her favorites were the HUGE tulips and the poppies. (in the picture directly above) Her mom loved the peach daffodils, and the purple and yellow pansies. There are several types of plants that were so fragrant, I just wanted to lay on the grass and inhale them all night! Taylor chased a couple quail who stayed just far enough ahead of her so she couldn't catch them. (The images are at the very top of this post.) We talked a little about what happens in the temple, and Taylor decided that she needs to go inside NOW because she's "already bigger!" When we discussed the statues that are throughout the garden. Taylor was adamant that John the Baptist was, in fact, Jesus, but she agreed when we indicated Joseph Smith. We ended our evening with dinner at the Blue Plate where I had the best Reuben of my life! Yum!
